Wastetape - yet another free file host

Wastetape is yet another free file host.

Terms of service:

  • Nothing illegal against Romanian or Luxembourgish law.
    • No terrorist content
    • No lolicon
  • You must have permission to upload the files you upload
  • We reserve the right to remove any files at our own discression

Privacy Policy

  • We use session cookies solely for providing you with error messages and maintaining your session while using our service. These cookies do not track your activity outside of our service or collect personal information beyond what is necessary for functionality.
  • We collect and store IP addresses indefinitely in order to detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access. This data is retained as part of our security measures to ensure the integrity of our service.
  • We do not sell or share your personal data, including any uploaded files, with advertisers or any third parties. Your data is used only for providing the core functionalities of the file uploader service.
  • Files uploaded to our service are stored for the duration you, the user, specify at the time of upload. Due to processing times, there may be a minor variation of 1-5 seconds in the exact deletion time of the file after the specified duration. Once deleted, the files are permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.
  • Data Retention
    • Uploaded Files: Files are stored for the period specified by the user and are automatically deleted afterward.
    • IP Addresses: IP addresses are retained indefinitely as part of our efforts to maintain security and prevent abuse.
    • Session Data: Session data, including session cookies, is retained only for the duration of your session and is removed once your session ends.
  • We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. These include encryption, regular security audits, and strict access controls for sensitive data such as files and IP addresses.
  • You have the right to:
    • Access: Request access to any personal data we hold about you, including IP addresses and file metadata.
    • Delete: Request the deletion of your data, subject to our security and abuse detection policies. Uploaded files are deleted automatically after the specified time, but other data such as IP addresses may be retained for security purposes.
  • Our service is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect or store any personal information from children.
